Mike & Natalie

So this is a little late (as will my next few posts be) but I can't help but share these pictures.  Proof to my very patient clients that I really have been busy! One of many weddings that I have been working on for the past few months, some of what I have to show for it. :)

Jaden

Back in June, amidst the craziness of grad season, I got to take Jaden's grad photos on his big day.  I'm pretty sure it was one of the hottest (if not the hottest) days of they year, but Jaden was a total sport about it & a real treat to photograph.  I admired his enthusiasm which made him a real natural & we had fun 'gallavanting' throughout the park.  We even managed to get a few shots with his dad's convertable (which inspired the color in their attire) in the park without getting kicked out.

Avery & Jill

Another gorgeous day for a wedding, I am really lucking out this summer! *knock knock*  Avery & Jill had a beautiful outdoor wedding in Jill's parents' backyard in Regina. The setting set the mood for the day, it was evident that everyone was enjoying themselves. The city, on the other hand, had it's own agenda - between the Rider game & Summer Invasion (just to name a couple), traffic & parking was a bit of a challenge, but thankfully we had all afternoon to take pictures. I've really enjoyed getting to know this couple, they are natural models & genuine souls.

Tyler & Krista

I've known Tyler for about 10 years, so when he asked me to take part in their big day, I knew it would a laid back ordeal, & to my liking, that it was.  Even little Izzy took it in stride. Although mother nature was threatening storm y forecasts, we managed to dodge it & it turned out to be a sunny, blue sky, fluffy cloud kind of day.

Congratulations Tyler & Krista, I'm looking forward to watching your little family grow & can't wait to meet Baby #2 in the new year!

Baby Brynn

I first met this baby beauty's parents 2 years ago when I was asked to photograph their wedding.  Since then a bonded friendship has grown btween our families, so I am very excited to welcome Baby Brynn, a new friend for Scarlett.  I look forward to more photosessions ahead with this darling girl & her family, so stay tuned. . . ;)

Kyle

It was one of those cool rainy windy days in May, not so ideal for a photoshoot, but fortunately we had something a little different in the works... a grad photoshoot inside the retired Civic Centre, a place of sentiment & history for this family.  This was where Kyle, a dedicated & talented young  hockey player, spent his AAA years playing in, the same rink in which his dad played Junior hockey years earlier.  When his mom presented me with her vision, I knew it would be a little out of my comfort zone, but excited for a challenge.

Kaci

I've been friends with Kaci & her family for many years now, & when they asked me to come to Saskatoon to take her grad pictures, I didn't hesitate to say yes.  Kaci is genine, unique, full of positive energy, & holds few reservations, so I anticipated this session to be overflowing with personality.  I also saw this as an exciting opportunity to reveal her adorable self through my lens.

Jill & Avery - Engagement

This was session number 2 of the day, & although it was getting later in the day, the sky brightened up a bit & we couldn't have asked for better lighting.  These two were a lot of fun to work with & I ended up with too many 'keepers' to choose from.  I look forward to doing it again in a few weeks - another wedding to look forward to, as the season creeps closer.  It is days like these that make me feel so lucky to be able to do what I do for a living!

Carole & Kris - Engagement

Between all this weather we've been getting this spring, we managed to dodge the rain on a cloudy day for a walk in the park. In fact I was amazed at how many people were out around Wascana Lake, despite the warnings looming above. Regardless, it turned out to be a beautiful evening, with just enough light for a great shoot. I enjoyed getting to know this down-to-earth future bride & groom & am really looking forward to their wedding later this summer!

Little Miss Personality

When working with babies, usually, at some point in the photoshoot, things don't go as planned...often, however, these are the cutest or funniest pictures in the end.  But no matter the mood, you can't help but love this kid's personality.  Without reservation, she lets the world know what's on her mind, & it's so darn adorable you just have to laugh (even if she isn't). Don't get me wrong, we had a great time & Lily showed us what it is all about to be 7 months little.
