It was one of those cool rainy windy days in May, not so ideal for a photoshoot, but fortunately we had something a little different in the works... a grad photoshoot inside the retired Civic Centre, a place of sentiment & history for this family.  This was where Kyle, a dedicated & talented young  hockey player, spent his AAA years playing in, the same rink in which his dad played Junior hockey years earlier.  When his mom presented me with her vision, I knew it would be a little out of my comfort zone, but excited for a challenge.  Plus my passion for the sport may have have fed my enthusiasm. 

The Civic Centre is in the process of being dismantled, which started prior to the shoot, but not enough to keep us out.  The maintenance man generously took time out of his personal schedule to let us take pictures in the arena - sometimes all you have to do is ask. Kyle & his family can say that these (as far as we know) are the last photos - & probably the only grad photos - taken at the Civic Centre (aka Crushed Can) before it's takedown.
